Last Friday was our #Letgirlsplay Football Event, as part of the Biggest Ever Football day. The event takes place every year on the 8th March, International Women’s Day, and is organised by England Football to encourage as many girls as possible to play football.
Every year group in school took part in football activities in their classes and had the opportunity to take part in a class football session on the MUGA. They thoroughly enjoyed having the chance to showcase their skills and getting stuck into the football games and drills.
We were also fortunate enough to have personalised videos recorded by Lewis O’Brien, Middlesborough Football Player, and Katie Halligan, Football Beyond Borders Ambassador and England Girls Pathway Coach. The children enjoyed listening to their professional journeys and found their opinions on girls football very inspiring.
