Helping your child at home
Homework will be sent every Friday to be completed on Seesaw. Children will receive spellings, mental maths and another piece of work each week. There will be a spelling test and a mental maths test every week. Please encourage your child to ask in school for further explanation of their homework activities if they don’t understand, before it is due in.
Your child should also read every day, in addition to homework. Please discuss what your child has read and then record the text in their Reading Record. You can also include any comments about their reading. Your child can also be encouraged to read other things, e.g. newspapers, comics, magazines, library books, etc. which can also be recorded.
