We are so proud of our Year 2 pupils Louis and Noah and our Year 6 pupil Harris who recently climbed Snowden to raise money for their football team, Rochdalians Juniors FC.
The boys climbed the mountain with 40 other people from their football club, Rochdalians, to help with the draining issue in their home pitches. The group was made up of players, parents and coaches, with Louis, Harris and Noah being the youngest climbers by far.
The boys climbed both up and down Snowden which is a massive achievement. With the very tempting option to get a train down the mountain, the boys worked really hard to complete the full climb with huge smiles on their faces.
They pushed through the aches and pains, and managed to get up and down with no tears, no pick ups or piggy backs and without complaining. They are super proud of themselves and we are really proud of them!
Between all three boys, they raised an amazing £750 which will have a huge positive impact on the club. The group is still yet to find out how they raised in total from the hike but we are sure it will have a wonderful impact on the club and their teammates.
