Parent Portal

Parent Portal

Parents play a crucial role in supporting their children’s learning, our portal is available to support parents to help support your child in their learning journey through their primary education at St Andrew’s.

Each year group has a page to help you support your child in their learning. See our “Class Pages” section for more information.

We recognise how important it is for parents/carers and teachers to work closely together to help our children achieve. At St Andrew’s CE Primary School & Nursery we encourage our children to take great pride in their homework on Tapestry and Seesaw and many of our children love to be creative in their presentation and designs and we enjoy celebrating their successes in displays and ‘Star assembly’.

How can parents, carers and families support their children?

Although we generally ask for children to complete their homework as much as they can independently, it is great when parents/carers and families can offer support and encouragement. This support may be through the use of a space and time for a child to complete their homework at home, questioning a child about their learning, helping with research, general knowledge or simply providing praise and encouragement. We are very grateful for the help parents/carers and families give, however if you feel you would like help supporting your child we hope the following pages will help.

At St Andrew’s we aim to establish mutually supportive and positive, collaborative relationships with all our parents based on trust, mutual respect and open and clear communication. We aim to keep parents informed and involved in their child’s learning as much as possible, encouraging a supportive relationship in their child’s education.

We have also included some research documents that you may find useful when supporting your child with their primary education.
