A huge congratulations to our Year 2 pupil Betsy who competed in her first National Open Mirror Sailing Event with her Dad this weekend!
The race took place at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club where Betsy crewed the boat for her dad and took charge of the spinnaker and the jib.
The pair raced alongside a total of 18 boats with other parent/child teams with multiple world and national championships between them.
Betsy and her Dad finished with an incredible 5th place after 6 races and even achieved 2nd place in one of the races!
Amazing work!
